Miller Street Stormwater Improvement

Project Overview

The City is planning improvements along NE Miller Street to address ongoing flooding and ponding on the north side of the road. The project will modify the existing stormwater system that flows to Coe Clemons Creek, a tributary of the Snoqualmie River.

What’s Being Done

As part of the project, new open grate stormwater structures will be installed to better capture roadway runoff, and the existing stormwater pipe will be relocated to the edge of the pavement. The relocated pipe will then connect to the existing downstream system before it reaches the creek. These changes will help reduce flooding and improve drainage for both the roadway and the surrounding area.

Design and Survey Teams

Osborn Consulting is leading the design work under our General Civil Engineering Support contract, while Parametrix will perform site surveying through our On-Call Surveying contract.

Timeline

Because this project requires a thorough SEPA review, construction isn’t expected to begin until 2027.
