Hello Duvall, I am excited for the opportunity to lead your Police Department at such a unique time.  I started with the Duvall Police Department in 2004 and have worked my way through the ranks to be your next Chief.  Our community is amazing, and I cherish the relationships we have established over the years.  I will continue to build on our current philosophies of community-oriented policing to further enhance your trust.  I believe Duvall is truly a unique place to live and work. 

The mission of the Duvall Police Department is to protect the rights, safety and property of our residents with Professionalism, Honor, Preparedness, Integrity and Positivity.  By working in partnership with our community, we will strive to improve the quality of life for all who live and work here.

Our priority is to preserve the feeling of safety for our City's growing population.  We recognize our community is becoming more diverse.  We are committed to giving everyone a voice by putting systems in place to address the concerns of all residents.  We have a strong sense of respect and compassion for our community.  To optimize stewardship of police resources, we will balance sustainability with a firm and quick response to crime, problem solving and crime prevention.

We pride ourselves on providing a wide array of community services to engage the public, increasing trust and establishing a “TEAM” concept with the residents we serve.   We value diversity, effective learning, professional development and innovation.  In order to improve quality of life, we are committed to conducting thorough investigations, seeking thoughtful solutions and fostering a sense of security.  We will nurture public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics.  We take pride in what we do and measure our success by the satisfaction of our members and our community.

Our Police Department consists of two divisions, Operations and Administrative.  Both divisions have unique responsibilities and duties, yet they work together to provide our community with the best police services possible.  We will continue to recruit, hire, train, support and retain qualified personnel as sworn and civilian members of a progressive law enforcement agency.  We will provide our officers with the latest training in order to produce a well-educated police force that understands our communities’ needs and challenges.

I feel our community is well serve by the men and women of the Duvall Police Department.  Our community receives a swift police response and thrives by having a low crime rate.   We worked hard to build public trust; through openness and transparency and we will continue to do so.  We solidify partnerships with our residents through social media and constant community contact.  We recognize these relationships are necessary for our continued success.
