6-Month Sewer Moratorium Extended: On March 15, 2022, the City of Duvall extended the moratorium an additional six months.  

6-Month Sewer Moratorium. On September 21, 2021, the City of Duvall passed a 6-month Emergency Ordinance that prohibits, with exceptions, connections to the sewer system and became effective immediately. Re-Opening. The City of Duvall welcomes visitors back for in-person services starting Monday, April 4th, due to the slowing spread of coronavirus. 

Use of online city services whenever possible is encouraged.

Visitors will not be required to mask, but masks are advised and will be available free of charge.

The responsibility of the Building department is to protect the public’s health, life safety, and general welfare on the Built Environment incorporating the development and application of best practices principles.


Inspections can be scheduled by emailing or calling 425.788.1160 and providing the following information:

  • Permit Number
  • Address
  • Type of Inspection
  • Contact name and phone number

All inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that the cut off time for inspection requests is 3 p.m.

Construction Hours

Duvall Municipal Code 6.04.060 specifies hours for construction activities as follows:

  • Monday – Saturday: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Sunday and Holidays: No work allowed

All types of improvements regardless of requiring a building permit are subject to land use regulations, e.g. property setbacks. Please contact the Planning Department, 425-788-1185, for more information.
