Bruce Edwards
Artist Biography
Bruce Edwards has been a muralist, instructor and graphic designer for twenty years. He has taught at the elementary, high school and adult levels throughout the Northwest and Alaska. He has completed commissioned works for numerous municipalities. He has been an instructor for Seniors Making Art (Instructor of the Year 2005} and instructing summer workshops fort the Frye Museum since 1999. Bruce is a graduate of Emily Carr, Vancouver BC.
Recent: Completed a 6 watercolor commission for Evergreen Hospital's new clinic in Duvall.

Artwork Description
This is a 2 part Ecology Totem. Each pole has a similar theme on one of
it's sides depicting the seasonal migration of salmon and steel head. On
one pole the fish go up, on the other they are depicted swimming downward.
The "Story" side of one depicts the sun above the clouds, producing rain
which feeds the river, which in turn sustains life (depicted by the
salmon) the lower area describes a stylized waterfall and the bottom tree
represents the surrounding sustainable forest.
The "Story side of the other shows the sun as a life force combining with
the river . Radiating upwards is the plant world. and below the life force
of the river with it's returning salmon.
