VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! JOIN THE FUN BEHIND THE SCENES!

It takes many hands to get Duvall ready for our annual celebration! Teens, adults, even families can volunteer. See below for a list of the different Duvall Days activities that we need volunteers for.

Volunteers are needed Friday, June 5th through Monday, June 8th. From one hour to all day - we can use as many volunteers as we can get!


STEERING COMMITTEE

The Steering Committee plans Duvall Days and makes decisions that drive the direction of the entire event. We meet twice a month through April and once a week in May. Then of course the big day on June 6th. This is a great opportunity to get involved in public service without a huge time commitment.
SET UP

Poster Distribution - one month prior to event take posters to area businesses. Place posters on bulletin boards around Duvall, Carnation, etc.
Set Up - on Friday, June 5th help set up the various festival areas. Set out trash cans, rope off areas, help vendors set up their booths, etc.
Tent Setup - set up tents for vendors.
Transportation - operate golf cart to transport vendors, performers, elderly, & disabled guests to and from festival site. (Must be over 18 to operate golf cart)
Highway Signs - put traffic signs out on Main Street early Saturday morning.


PARADE

Parking Attendant - assist disabled, elderly, volunteers and vendors into approved parking areas.
Parade Route Escort - walk along parade route with performers keeping performers moving along.
Parade Route Bouncer - walk along parade route keeping spectators on sidewalk; remove street vendors.
Trash Pickup - after parade, pick up trash from street and sidewalk.


FESTIVAL

Vendor Greeter/Helpers - greet and escort vendors to their locations, assist with equipment if needed.
Information Booth - assist city and Duvall Days organizers at the main booth.
Transportation - operate golf cart to transport vendors, performers, elderly, & disabled guests to and from festival site. (must be over 18 to operate golf cart)
Trash Pickup - pick up trash throughout park, replace trash liners.





FUN RUNS

Registration - day of race registration, help distribute race numbers and tee shirts.
Traffic/Parking Attendees - direct participants to parking lots on both sides of town, help direct traffic during race.
Race Course Marshals - direct runners along route.
Traffic Stop - stop traffic/direct runners along route.
Water Table Attendees - pass out water to runners.

CLEAN UP

Vendor Assistants - help vendors pack up their booths.
Tent Take Down - take down and pack tents.
Clean Up - clean up park and surrounding trails, etc. Remove trash.

JUST FOR VOLUNTEERS

  • Volunteers can expect to receive a confirmation letter prior to the event. The letter will state your assignment and contact information you will need.

  • Volunteer Training - Wednesday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Duvall Church

  • Volunteers check in at the information booth. You will receive a Duvall Days Event Staff tee shirt to wear while you are helping.

  • Food and refreshments will be there for volunteers.

  • Volunteers will need to sign a Volunteer Agreement Form.
