NEW for 2008:
The Duvall Days 5K and 10k distances will be USATF certified. Electronic race timing using the Hy-Tek system provided by Coach Bruce McDowell and CHS XC.

Need a Reason to Run? How about CERT?
As a runner, you know you run well when you are prepared. In that way, CERT is a lot like running. CERT is a Carnation-Duvall Citizen Corps Council training program that prepares people in neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools to take a more active role in emergency management planning, and to prepare themselves and others for disasters. Their aid was readily apparent during recent local flooding and windstorm disasters and has proved integral to the health and welfare of our community. Due to funding cutbacks, CERT has lost grant monies previously received from King County Emergency Management; a portion of funds raised through our local races help support this vital program that helps keep our community running during emergencies.

WHAT RUNNERS ARE SAYING:
"… thank you for organizing the race and the Snoqualmie Valley Cup. The races were well organized and the courses clearly marked. Good job! I plan to be back with my family next year …" ~ Frederick

It was an exciting day for me; and I think I am still running on high over it!!! I am still in shock that I first of all- completed the race but that it was soo much fun to be around so many wonderful people.!!!!!! Thank you for efforts. WA HOOOOO. ~ Karen

A HUGE thank you to your team for the best Duvall Days ever. My family, friends and I had a blast. The 5k was wonderfully organized and all of the events were terrific. My family came out from Seattle and we got to show them how a great small town does it right. I know you all put a lot of work in so - THANK YOU! ~ Amy

I ran the 5K, and it was a well run race. You guys did a good job~ Mike

I really enjoyed the race - well-organized, beautiful day, hilly, challenging course - see you next year! ~ Kathryn

It was a very good event. Very challenging! I will race it again next year and recommend it to others. I LOVE your theme: run hard or was it fast? run hills run duvall. I gave my shirt to one of the competitor's son, but next year I will keep mine. ~ Sandy

Holy cow... that hill was a killer! my legs are still vibrating! ~ Clare

I really enjoyed the race yesterday and the race course, in fact the toughness of the course was the main reason why I signed up for. You guys have to keep that course layout as this race is unique and challenging, I love the climbing and the rolling hills once on the top. So far, my favorite 10k race course by far and I will not doubt in run it again in 2008, 2009….... .Running hills is the best way to keep your fitness up and improve your running economy. Organization and support along the course was great! Duvall is nice place and their people are great. ~ Roberto

I'd looked forward to this race ever since I saw the runners go past my house last year. This was my first race in 10 years and I really enjoyed it. Thanks again. ~ Lance

I will be back next year. Very well organized, and a great community event. Thanks for your extra efforts to make it a fun event! ~ Dave

Thank you! My son loved the run - I think he's hooked! ~ Julie

    WHAT RUNNERS ARE SAYING Continued...
Thank you for the wonderful event that was put on Saturday. It was my first run in 10 years and I deeply enjoyed it. Thank you so much ~ Chris

Two things suprsied me today... 1) How supportive not only my personal friends were, but ALL the runners on the trail. People were cheering one another on, supporting each other, coaching, it was awesome. 2) How much FUN it was! Normally, I do NOT find exercise fun at all. But today, maybe because of the spirit out there, or because of the comradery, it was awesome. Thanks for a GREAT memory and a great day! ~ Stacy
