General Art Show Information
It's time for the fourth annual Valley Art Show! This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to display and celebrate their artistic talent, to be judged by local artists and to receive ribbons for the winning entries. There is no fee to enter and the art will be displayed in downtown Duvall businesses from May 23rd - June 7th for friends and family, as well as neighbors and patrons, to enjoy.
Art submittals will be received in the Depot Building, 26225 NE Stephens Street, Bldg A. School submissions will be accepted Monday, May 4th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Individual artists may submit artwork Tuesday, May 5th 1:00pm to 6:00pm and Wednesday, May 6th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. No entries will be accepted after 5:00pm May 6th.
Children's artwork can be picked up at the Northwest Art Center, 15515 Main Street NE, on Thursday or Friday, June 11-12 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Adult artwork can be picked up from City Hall, 15535 Main Street NE, on those same days from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The Valley Art Show, the Northwest Art Center, Duvall Days and the City of Duvall will not be responsible for any artwork not picked up during the days and times offered.

Categories
Artwork will be judged and awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Honorable Mention ribbons) given in each age group.
Primary (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade)
Intermediate (3rd Grade through 5th Grade)
Junior High (6th Grade through 8th Grade)
High School (9th Grade through 12th Grade)
Adult
Artwork will be judged in the following mediums: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mix-Media, 3D Sculpture, Photography.

General Guidelines
Artwork must be original
All flat artwork should be matted and/or framed and securely wired for hanging. All photography must be framed under glass. Artwork not properly wired will not be displayed.
Due to space limitations artwork must not be any larger than 24"x36" including mat or frame.
All 3-D pieces should be submitted atop mat board.
A completed registration form must be attached to each piece of artwork submitted.
Indicate on the registration form which category you wish your artwork to be judged in: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mix-Media, 3D Sculpture, Photography. View details of each medium.
A limit of 2 pieces of art per person will be allowed.
Pre-Judging will take place before art is displayed. If there are more entries than space, at least one piece will be displayed during the show.

Opening Reception
Wednesday, May 27th at 6:30pm at the Northwest Art Center, 15515 Main Street NE, Duvall. Refreshments will be served and award winning artists will be recognized.
Art For Sale
If you choose, you may take this opportunity to sell the artwork you have on display. Please decide upon the price before submitting your work. You will need to fill out an additional "Artwork For Sale" form at the time of submission. The Valley Art Show, the Northwest Art Center, Duvall Days and the City of Duvall will not act as an agent between seller and buyer.
