Art Show Booklet
General Art Show Information
The Duvall Days Committee and the Northwest Art Center proudly present the third annual Valley Art Show. Submissions from students and adults are welcome and there is no fee. The art will be displayed in Duvall businesses from May 26th – June 8th.
Art submittals will be received in the Rose Room below the Duvall Library, 15619 Main Street NE. You may submit artwork Monday, May 12th through Wednesday, May 14th from 1:00pm to 7:00pm. No entries will be accepted after 7:00pm May 14th.
Children's artwork can be picked up at the Northwest Art Center, 15515 Main Street NE, on Wednesday or Thursday, June 11-12 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Adult and Senior artwork can be picked up from City Hall, 15535 Main Street NE, on Wednesday or Thursday June 11-12 from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The Valley Art Show, the Northwest Art Center, Duvall Days and the City of Duvall will not be responsible for any artwork not picked up during the days and times offered.

Categories
Artwork will be judged and awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Honorable Mention ribbons) given in each age group.
Primary (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade)
Intermediate (3rd Grade through 5th Grade)
Junior High (6th Grade through 8th Grade)
High School (9th Grade through 12th Grade)
Adult
Senior (over 65)
Youth participants K - 12th grade will receive a ribbon and cash prize. Cash Prizes are as follows: 1st Place - $50, 2nd Place - $30, 3rd Place - $25, and Honorable Mention - $15.
Artwork will be judged in the following mediums: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mix-Media, 3D Sculpture, Photography.

General Guidelines
Artwork must be original
All flat artwork should be matted and/or framed and securely wired for hanging. All photography must be framed under glass. Artwork not properly wired will not be displayed.
Due to space limitations artwork must not be any larger than 24"x36" including mat or frame.
All 3-D pieces should be submitted atop mat board.
A completed registration form must be attached to each piece of artwork submitted.
Indicate on the registration form which category you wish your artwork to be judged in: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Mix-Media, 3D Sculpture, Photography. Click HERE to view details of each medium.
A limit of 3 pieces of art per person will be allowed.
Pre-Judging will take place before art is displayed. If there are more entries than space, at least one piece will be displayed during the show.

Opening Reception
Friday, May 30th 6:30pm - 8:30 pm at the Duvall Church Family Life Center. Refreshments will be served and awards for winning entries presented. Youth artists will also be awarded their prizes at this event!
Art For Sale
If you choose, you may take this opportunity to sell the artwork you have on display. Please decide upon the price before submitting your work. You will need to fill out an additional "Artwork For Sale" form at the time of submission. The Valley Art Show, the Northwest Art Center, Duvall Days and the City of Duvall will not act as an agent between seller and buyer.
