Finance Department Responsibilities
The Finance Department carries out all financial transactions of the City and ensures legal and ethical compliance with those transactions. They work cooperatively with other City departments in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasting.

The Finance Department is responsible for cash management, investments, payroll, accounts payable, utility billing, administering the budget, asset accounting and debt management. The department prepares various required reports for State and County agencies, as well as several financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis that are submitted to the Mayor, Council and City Administration Team.

Utility Billing Department
City of Duvall utilities cover water, sewer and storm drain. Bills are sent the first week of every month and are due the 1st of the following month (i.e. bills sent the first week of September are due October 1st). Residential monthly bills typically total $105.00 to $125.00 per month. Costs vary due to water consumption.

Garbage and recycling is mandatory in the City of Duvall. Yardwaste recycling is optional. For information about Duvall's garbage service, please contact Sno-King Waste Management.

Can I use a credit card for payments?
Yes. There are a few different options for credit card payment options:
You can click HERE to view your City of Duvall utility account as well as pay with your Visa or Mastercard.

Official Payments accepts credit card payments for the City of Duvall. Official Payments accepts credit card payments for the following: Arts Program, Business License, Developer Billing, Miscellaneous fee, Permit fees, Utility Bills.

You can pay online by going to their website or call them at 1-800-272-9829. You will need Duvall's Jurisdiction code, which is 5628 and your account number with the City of Duvall.

NOTE: Official Payments accepts American Express, Mastercard, Discover and Visa. They may charge you a convenience fee for the transaction. City of Duvall does not receive any portion of this fee.

You may also use your Visa and Mastercard at City Hall to pay your utility bill. There is no additional charge.

Do you offer an automatic withdraw option?
Yes. The City of Duvall now has the capability of deducting your monthly utility bill from your checking or savings account.
