Library Board September 2008 The City of Duvall is progressing on the Washington Holdings project that will include the new Duvall Library. Washington Holdings and CamWest are currently coordinating site plans with KCLS and City of Duvall representatives. The City Council is anticipated to approve the site plan this Fall. Due to the development schedule, construction work on the new Library will not start until the necessary infrastructure (i.e. roads and utilities) is completed. KCLS will continue to work closely with the City on this development. The Details: Planning for the new 8,000 square foot Duvall Library is underway. The $4.39 million new library will include more materials, computers, space for children and teens and a community meeting room. Click HERE to view this document. The Carnation Library is Expanding! The library will be closed beginning Thursday, June 12, for construction of the expanded library. On Monday, June 16 Carnation Library will open a temporary location at the Sno-Valley Senior Center, 4610 Stephens Avenue, Carnation. Hours of operation: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 10am-4pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1-7pm The temporary location will have a book drop, holds pick-up, computers, a small browsing collection and activities for all ages. Story Times will be on Thursdays at 10am. During the construction of the Carnation Library, Duvall will have expanded hours on Wednesday mornings and will be open 10 am-8:30 pm. The Library Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and coordinates with and provides input to, the Board of Trustees of the King County Library District and local library officials.
